It is a magical experience from the moment you step on the property. I have been visiting China for almost 20 years, and it is the BEST experience I have ever had. Service, food, room, etc. are top notch.

Just checking out of the hotel after three wonderful days in Shanghai. The hotel delivered on the wow-factor from the start with superb service and friendly staff. Great room and the best bed ever. Avoid the hotel restaurants which are way over-priced and empty. However, the Long Bar had great ambiance and is a must-visit.

This is truly great hotel. Location is perfect, rooms are large and brand new with all modern equipment, the lobby is a palace, breakfast is abundant, service is great and fast, our air condition has been broken in the middle of the night and they sent two technicians to fix it and when they failed moved us to another room... Wov is all one can say. I agree with the desparate housewife reviewer.......I want to live there as well. The hotel is beautiful, the location perfect, the long bar and music great. The service impecable. The breakfast delights-there is food for everyone from where ever you come from. I cried when I left. I must go back.

Wonderful 1930s decor sitting on the Bund overlooking the Pudong Financial buildings. Good service and incredibly convenient for everything in the centre. Took in Golden week and some good restaurants.
