The hotel lobby is very grand and classy and the rooms are a nice size. I felt that the hotel was a bit dated compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Shanghai. We enjoyed our stay at the MArriott. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The service was good and friendly. It's in a cool modern building, and our floor was really high, so we had an excellent sprawling view of the city. The buildings around it are mostly not tall. From the flowers in the lobby to the spacious rooms, the JW Marriott is an excellent hotel in Shanghai. The staff go out of their way (literally running) to get anything you need. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Shanghai

We had a very nice room in this hotel. The views at night were lovely. The staff were very polite and helpful. My only complaint was that they neglected to mention that breakfast was included in our room rate so we missed out on this. Otherwise there is nothing negative to say about the hotel.

This hotel is very well located for the main attractions in Shanghai (The Bund, Shanghai Museum, The French Concession, etc.) and the service is excellent -- especially the ladies in the executive lounge are outstanding. Great views from lobby bar and executive lounge. I have stayed at better rooms at JW Marriott hotels but still recommendable.
