The Shangri-La chain runs very good hotels, this is one of their best. The service by all staff was exceptional, courteous, pleasant, not obtrusive. Absolute stunning views of the river and bund from the river wing. Club Rooms are really spacious. Fantastic Staff who are very welcoming and hospitable. Great eateries within the Hotel as well. Wouldnt stay anywhere else

Walking into our room in the evening, a picture perfect panoramic view over the busy river to a fairy tale city shoreline - breathtaking! Splendid rooms and bath, huge dining area with international cuisine from everywhere. The hotel is impeccable.

“Best Hotel for service secon to none.”

Having stayed many times in the hotel over an 8 year period i have no hesitation in recommending it without reservation. One of the best Hotels in the world without exception. All of the staff are very professional and considerate and know their jobs well. A Home from Home when you are a long way from ones own Home.

“A beautiful hotel”

A lovely place. I bit distant from the center of the city. You have to have the front desk write down your taxi destination on a piece of paper in English to give to the cab driver. To get back, you can do the same with an English speaker at your restaurant or shopping center in the city.

“Indeed, it is Shangri-La!”

This hotel is first class as is the location for doing business in Shanghai. Breakfast is "fun" with the great variety offered. All amenities are as expected and the overall service shines. I realize all this is to be expected of a Shangri-La, yet this one delivers 100%!
