meeting some business friends at this hotel near the hongqiao airport. it is a 15 min taxi ride from the city center. the ambience and live music is great in the airy lobby. it seemed to be a good hotel for business travelers that do not care about city center and quick want quick in-and-out access to shanghai. more

Ask for non smoking room for best chance of upgrade. Superb cleanliness, beautiful decor and super quiet executive floor. Fabulous for business travellers. Only advice is to avoid gift shop as they sell bogus amber at high prices, saying it is real (well, maybe they didn't understand the question as to its authenticity.)
