Your first impression of Hotel 1915 may be that it appears to be a dark, old building but don't let that stop you from taking a look inside where you will discover a charming place. Rooms are basic but clean. The free internet is a bonus. Alajuela makes a great base for going to/from the airport. more

We stayed at the 1915 for 4 nights and were truly impressed. The staff helped arrange trips and made helpful suggestions on what to do. The rooms were clean but most impressive were the common rooms which were decorated in a stylish yet warm fashion. If you need a place to stay near San Jose I highly recommend the 1915! more
