This B&B is located on a coffee plantation with beautiful gardens surrounding it. It was so quiet during our stay because our family was the only one staying there at the time. The caretakers were friendly and hospitable and made the best gallo pinto I've ever had! Breakfast was fabulous overall. The rooms were small, especially the bathrooms, and we had a little problem with sugar ants. Not the cleanest room I've ever stayed in, but I am picky and few hotels in Costa Rica really meet my standard of cleanliness! The weather is cool, because it's located in the mountains, which was very nice. And they have many rooms to choose from and let us select the ones we wanted. There is not a lot to do in the area, so we really used it as a launching pad for the activities around the Poas area - like the volcano, La Paz waterfall gardens and the Doka estate.
