La Vida Tropical is a really nice place to stay. We were here for our first three nights in Costa Rica and then for the last night before we left. The hosts are very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay here, and will hope to visit again sometime soon! more

Decent hotel, good value, but not excellent given the other budget options in Alajeula. Next time I came through Alajeula we stayed at the Villa Bonita, and I'd say it's probably a better deal.
