The Arenal Paraiso Resort & Spa was nice. Well manicured lawns and charming cabinas. The front desk staff was lousy and just a joke. Didn't have a reservation but were able to get a cabin on the expensive side. The cabin (#200) was nice, no complaints. Had a dip in the pool which was nice though the "hot springs" were a joke (several shallow concrete-lined pools with tepid water in them)! The hot sprigns were laughable at best.
