I have recently returned from my trip in Costa Rica, this hotel was by far the best hotel we stayed in, in terms of the rooms and breakfast.
The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, the hot springs were a nice relaxing way to spend the evenings after a day of zip lining and walking in the national park.

Stayed 2 days in cottage 12 during first week of Feb 2012. Grounds are immaculate with beautiful flowers and tropical plants. Staff are courteous and professional. Cottages are very roomy with two queen beds and plenty of open space. Each has large windows that open to view of Arenal volcano on front and gardens in back. Each also has small...

We stayed for three nights in January and were impressed with the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was very nice and it was a treat to see all the birds. You get an awesome view of the volcano. The hotsprings are relaxing and nice. The only negative is that they really need to get better lounge chairs by the pool and hot...

We stayed 2 nights in January, 2012. It's even prettier than pictured on the website. It was easy to find (even with typical Costa Rica directions of: "continue on the main road 5 minutes past the center of town toward the volcano"). Each separate villa has a high ceiling and is spacious, quiet & clean, with an outdoor sitting area....

We stayed two nights. Our family included a little 3-year old boy. Our room was cute - it was essentially a hotel room with a cabin-like structure built around it. Our room had two double beds, one small desk, a bathroom (no tub, just shower but with hot water!) and sink. There was also a small closet, refrigerator and coffeemaker....

We stayed at El Silencio del Campo in December and enjoyed our stay. Every morning at breakfast you can watch an amazing variety of birds attack the banana chunks that are skewered on the tree next to the eating area. There is also a cute parrot that the staff feed that gets all excited when the food arrives. Great view...

Our family of four (myself, husband, and two daughters aged 7 and 11) stayed at Silencio del Campo in June 2011. We rented a car and drove from the airport in San Jose. (As a side note, if you do rent a car, get a GPS! You will need it to navigate everywhere you go in Costa Rica!) Even though...

My husband and I stayed here with our two children. Our girls loved it, the staff was really friendly and the view of the volcano was amazing. We would definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed this hotel. Fantastic value as well. The staff was extremely accommodating, and made it seem like they'd do anything for you if you just asked. Heck, they even tried to anticipate your needs. Like booking transportation for the next hotel for you when you check in.
The hotel grounds are really attractive and has a fantastic view...
