This hotel is beautiful! The staff went out of their way to accomodate us for dinner one evening. We had hoped to stay here, but sadly, they were full. Everything we ordered was fabulous. It was the most expensive meal we had in Turrialba. However, by San Jose standards, it was still cheap. Our meal was $80 with cocktails, bottle... more

We traveled to Turrialba specifically to whitewater raft on the Pacaure River. This hotel was about 10 minutes out of town in a peaceful and gorgeous setting. The restaurant was wonderful and the wait staff were the most professional we encountered - especially Leonardo. We had a wonderful massage and loved the horseback riding tour and the Golden Bean Coffee... more

Stayed at this hotel for two nights in March 08. The area surrounding the hotel and the hotel grounds are beautiful. We stayed in a junior suite the first night (room #14) and complained the next morning because this room is above the hotel kitchen and is therefore a bit noisy. We were moved into a standard room the next... more

I stayed here for 1 night. The road to the hotel is terrible, but when you enter the entranceway of the hotel it is perfect! Large palmtrees are welcoming you. The person at the reception was very nice. If we would like to use the whirlpool we have to call 30 minutes before and she would warm up the water.... more

I filled their online reservations form, to which they responded promptly to inform me that they had other dates available. But when I emailed them back (3 times) accepting their dates and even called them two times, I never got a response back as to whether or not the room is still available. more

Loved this hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive and helpful with advice and driving directions. Hotel room was very clean and even included fresh flowers from their lovely garden all throughout the room and bathroom. Nice pool and they will make sure hot tub is heated for you. Room even included 2 free cocktails from their bar. Has a nice... more

This is Jana from Casa Turire. I just wanted to thank you on behalf of all the staff for your wonderful comment on our hotel. I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that we are working on resolving the problem of the firm matress in all the rooms! We hope to have you with us in the...

Our room was very large and comfortable, although the room overlooked the driveway and was thus noisy. The grounds are beautiful. The horseback riding was very poorly led. The food was uneven - great at some meals, bland at others. The staff were friendly. more

Overall, this was one our best hotel experiences. The staff is incredibly friendly - the grounds are stunning. Our room was beautiful - the only thing I would have changed is the bathroom which could have been a little more modern. The chef at the restaurant was extremely accomodating, since we are vegetarian. Everynight he came out and discussed our... more

We have wonderful memories of this small hotel near Turrialba. We stayed at Casa Turire in April 2005 for 6 nights with our two sons (4 yrs and 10 months)and had a fantastic time. The staff were the friendliest we've ever encountered. We got a spacious suite for a very friendly rate and the food was incredibly reasonable. There's plenty... more

August 16th & 17th 2005 We are three ladies traveling together that chose Hotel Casa Turire for our last 2 nights in Costa Rica. We had wanted to see the Basilica in Cartago, Lankaster Gardens and the Orosi Valley and it seemed like a logical place to stay after a long day of touring. We took the (bumpy)back roads to... more
