Don't get this place confused with the hotel near Rincon de la Vieja. The Hotel Guanacaste is located a couple of blocks from the Liberia bus station. Hacienda Gauachipelin is an excellent lodge to stay, play, have fun, and relax! What more could one want? This unique working cattle and horse ranch is AWESOME! Our one mistake on our Central American trip. We chose it for the location, just a short walk from the bus station, as we were only doing an overnight before moving on to Nicaragua. this is the lowest of the lowest still at a ridicule price of $55 for 2 bunkbeds (sleep 4). The room was so small it felt like a prison cell, just the space for the beds really.
