The Tope includes a homemade service for local trips n adventures. Easy, cheap n friendly. Great for students n adventurous holidaymakers. We took a great wild life trip n a brilliant rafting trip. The hotel is just a short distance from the main square and several resturants.

aftr living in nicaragua for so long i got used to paying a fare price for a decent place. everywhere else in town was overpriced. this place is fairly basic. but 10$ for a private room? seemed clean and the bathrooms where very nice. ill stay here anytime im passing thru

The place is ok, the staff is friendly, but be sure to ask to see the rooms before you agree to stay. Rooms are not all equal. Stayed here in November 2010. Place is pretty well located, the room we stayed in was dark, windowless and dingy, but it was basically fine. Bit mosquito net, comfy enough bed, TV in the room. Set in a historically quaint house with lots of character but there is no "dorm room" offer, like other hostels. If you are traveling solo, your options are a couple of box-like rooms with a tiny or non-existant window. Options for 2+ people will land you a nicer/larger room with better ventilation and windows.
