I stayed there for a few nights, everyone was very, very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms left a little to be desired, but as long as you're comfortable with it for the savings its well worth dealing with.

The Beach House is a small hostel located just outside the center of Tamarindo. Close enough to have everything in walking distance - it takes 5 min to get to the shops, bars, restaurants, banks and anything else you need, but far enough to get a good night’s sleep with the sound of the ocean in the background. It is the perfect place if you’re here to surf. Just in front of the hostel you will find the best breaks in Tamarindo. Wake up, grab your board and get in the water. And after a long day of surfing it’s time to relax, have a cold beer and watch the sunset in our big tropical garden, where monkeys, parrots, hummingbirds and iguanas make their occasional visits. Our friendly staff is always more than happy to help you organize your surfing trips, excursions into one of the many national parks or just to show you around town. Of course we have all the good stuff like free wifi, free breakfast, private beach access, safe parking area, cable TV, big balcony on the 2nd floor, next to Baulas National Park, laundry room, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
