Was our first stay on tour of Costa Rica. Hotel was great introduction to the country. Staff on reception were great at helping organise tours. The grounds were fantastic with loads of wildlife and various habitats. Hotel felt very relaxed and friendly, only minor criticism is that pool could have been cleaner. more

I adored this hotel. The food was good, the rooms clean and comfortable and the complex quaint. The bird watching and animals in the area were just wonderful. Stayed one night as part of a group tour. Very pleasant cabanas (no aircon but no problem) each with plenty of space, a private deck with hammock and Very quiet. Lovely gardens with lots of flora and fauna to look at. Pleasant but fairly small pool. Nothing much nearby so ate in the hotel restaurant which was absolutely fine. more

Excellent lodge, way above average in Costa Rica. Mostly small casita's with two rooms in each. No high rise buildings. No airconditioning, but you won't need it. We only spent one night at La Quinta Sarapiqui and although it was definitely our most modest accommodations while in Costa Rica, the hotel had a warm, friendly atmosphere and an abundance of interesting wildlife to discover. Nice and quiet, sorrounded by wildlife. Very clean. Terraces very original. Restaurant staff quite helfpul. Half board buffet not very varied neither abundant, if you are not eating at the very first time they run out of food and do not even refill it.
