On our arrival at Cahuita, we dropped into Jenny's Cabinas to rent a room, after finding the hotel in our Lonely Planet book. The place wasn't in the best location; it's on the shore, but you can't swim there, and the surroundings are not the cleanest/most well-kept. It was about noon when we got to the hotel and Jenny (the owner) was passed out cold in the "office", still drunk from the previous night. The cleaning lady brought us to a room that was OK, but the bathroom wasn't too clean so we left. I wouldn't suggest this place. We found a pretty place near the entrance of the Cahuita National Park called Kelly Creek Hotel which had a very large clean and quiet room, for US$45 instead of US$35 (at Jenny's)... MUCH better. more
