Casa Viva was fabulous! We were a little nervous about staying here because of the negative reviews, but we were SO GLAD WE DID!!!! Jeannie was very friendly and cheerful, and her dogs appeared loyal and mellow. The only time we saw them was at her side. Our family stayed in one of the 2 bedroom houses for 2 weeks in August. In my opinion, these are not only the most beautiful houses in the area, but they are also the best value. The proprietress of this place is outrageously rude and agressive to boot. It doesn't matter how beautiful the houses are (very beautiful) or how close to the beach they are (extremely close) because odds are good that you won't get to enjoy the place at all once she decides that today YOU are the source of misery in her life... more

Stay here ONLY IF you want to deal with a quarrelsome and hostile proprietor! The woman who runs this place is one of the rudest people I have ever come in contact with in CR.
