Marasal (sp?) was super nice. The place is immaculately well kept and the covered pool is really great for afternoon shade-chilling. Its social but not too social--unless you're in the shared dorm I guess. Its also really well located and Jaco's beach is right across the street.

I stayed here with a friend and we really enjoyed Buddha House and the staff. Its a hostel but its clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I planned to stay only one night in Jaco, but then I found the Buddha house! I liked it so much, so I stayed for 2 nights. Good clean room with AC, nice little swimming pool, good kitchen, I even used the BBQ twice! Would stay here again!

Was not aware upon first approach that hotel was la comita as was avoiding lonely planet venues to support business etc. service very good as are the roons but the following factually occurred; arrived, saw room and was quoted 60 USD. We first stayed at another Hostel in Jaco, but had to leave because it was horrible. We found Buddah house and it was like a tiny little oasis in the middle of Jaco! The atmosphere is awesome, the staff is incredibly friendly and we felt at home. The rooms are all clean and large. There are showers with hot water.... More

Best bang for your buck that you're going to find in Jacó. The staff is incredibly nice, the entire place is clean, and has a really fun, upbeat atmosphere. The only problem we had was no wifi but I think that was only a temporary glitch. Would highly recommend to anyone!!
