I have never had worst service at a hotel, ever, and I have stayed at some pretty bottle of the barrel places. Every staff member was rude and literally went out of their way to make our stay worst. The hotel is a bit dates, but the views are amazing and there's a great pool. I thought the national park was over-rated. There were a lot of scammers posing as park guides and parking lot attendants. The beaches near Manuel Antonio are nice, but if you pay the $10 to tour the park, the beaches are way better inside.... more

We just spent 4 nights at the Hotel La Mariposa and left reluctantly. This is a great hotel which gave us all we were looking for and more. The headline item is clearly the hilltop location and 180+ panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from the pool, restaurant and rooms alike. Sunsets, whales (if you are lucky) etc. WOW !!... more
