We just returned from our stay at Mango Moon and really enjoyed it. The view from our room was fabulous, and the room itself was large and very clean. The breakfast changed every day, and we enjoyed everything from banana pancakes to egg burritos. The best, however, was the avocado/hearts of palm/tomato salad that was served every morning. Yum! We... more

We just returned from a six night stay at Mango Moon. We booked last minute and ended up with the only room available...# 5. Standard queen. Nothing special, just clean and comfortable. The bathroom was really big. Every once in a while we would smell something strange...not sure if it sewage or if it is because #5 is right next... more

I am not one to write bad reviews, however I feel it is necessary in this case as I used the reviews on this website for most of the bookings I made for the trip to Costa Rica, and found the ones for this hotel misleading in retrospect. The staff, especially the two men behind the reservations counter were not... more

Dear Travelers, In response to this negative review, first we would like to say that Mango Moon and staff is very attentive and goes out of their way to accommodate guests that stay with us. The two men behind the reception counter are otherwise known as John and Diego. They are Costa Rican and have been in the service industry...

My boyfriend and I just returned from CR and were supposed to stay three nights in Mango Moon. Upon our arrival, we were told that we could put our bags in the room that was not ready so we saw the last people's garbage etc. Once the room was ready, I took a shower and was absolutely disgusted. The entire... more

During our 11 day trip to CR, we stayed at 5 different hotels, and our teenagers (15 year old boy and 16 year old girl) loved Mango Moon the best. It is a great family bed and breakfast, with a homey, comfortable feel. The staff is very friendly, the chef is excellent, and we loved our accommodations and the owner’s... more

For our honeymoon in Costa Rica, our travel agent had booked us at a nearby Quepos Hotel. In short, upon arrival we instantly hated it. I'll leave further comments for a negative review of this other location. I awoke early in the morning, after having stayed at this other hotel to search for someplace new, that would salvage our derailed... more

Excellent choice of hotel if you want to have beautiful views, quietness, personal attention from staff, one of the best locations in Manuel Antonio, confortable rooms. The owners (Donna and Diego) and all the staff are doing a great job in making guests feel like they are in a five star hotel - this will make a big difference for... more

Mango Moon is a special place. Our family (mom, dad, 2 teenage girls) stayed here for 3 nights based on TA recommendations. We arrived and were greeted by Donna (the new owner) and 2 dogs and the news that Donna was puppy-sitting 2 puppies. Between puppies, our room, and the view, our girls LOVED it here. Mango Moon was their... more

We stayed at the Mango Moon B&B for three nights at the end of June. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful in arranging tours and recommending restaurants. The property is off the road so it is quiet, but still within close proximity to several great restaurants. The location is very accessible to the bus into Manuel Antonio... more

Welcome to the Heart and Soul of Costa Rica! From the first moment I walked into Mango Moon, I knew it was a different type of hotel. At the door we were greeted by two huge dogs and several smiling employees. From the moment you enter, you feel like you are family. The rooms are clean and each is unique... more
