We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was large and clean. The hotel was just off the main road. This meant that we were a bit secluded, but there was still a fair amount of noise from the bars/restaurants/hotels on the main Santa Elena road. No air conditioning meant that our windows were open and we did... more

This place was amazing. Even if the price had doubled it would have been a great place to stay. It was by far the cheapest place we had stayed at in Costa Rica but was just as enjoyable, if not more so, than some of our other places. We stayed in a basic room for 4 persons with 2 bunk... more

We stayed at the Old House for four nights and enjoyed every minute. Our stay there came in the middle of our trip when we needed a break from restaurant dining, so having a well-equipped kitchen to make our own meals, and a somewhat isolated quiet place to "cocoon" was a welcome change. It was an easy walk into town... more

Arco Iris is such a lovely place. The cabin room was super clean, and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. It's located in a convenient location where all the restaurateurs and stores were within walking distance. I also love the fact that it's eco-friendly - from recycling everything they can (including food scraps) to providing... more

We had a wonderful time here. It was surprise to drive up the narrow road to this little slice of paradise. We stayed in "the house". It had two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. Everything was perfect, the rooms, the decor, the beds. We had all the dishes, glasses and everything we could want. There is a little book... more

We were in the family house which is near the front desk. It is very well equipped with several bedrooms and a functional kitchen. Shopping in town is easy and cooking would save a lot of restaurant bills (which are fairly expensive in town.) The grounds are peaceful, there is some town noise, but we were never disturbed. I enjoyed... more

We stayed in Cabin #1 for three nights in March. We are a family of four and the cabin was perfect for us. There are two bedrooms, a nice clean bathroom, a large sitting room and a great front porch. It was clean, beautiful, spacious, and a slice of paradise. Within two minutes of getting out of the car, my... more

We really liked this hotel. We stayed in Room 16, which had its own balcony. The staff was helpful, the rooms were nice, and the resident dogs and cats were very sweet. The hotel is right in Santa Elena, which was great for us (without a car) since we could walk to some local restaurants and the grocery store. The... more

My wife and I were in Monteverde/Santa Elena and loved our stay in the Arco Iris Lodge. We really can't say enough great things about the place. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite which is the lodge situated on top of the hill. First our lodge was amazing. It was 3 floors, 1st floor was the kitchen which had everything... more

We stayed at Arco Iris Lodge for two nights in March 2009. The inn is located on a side street up on a hill away from downtown Santa Elena. The hotel receptionist was very friendly and booked us on a guided tour of Santa Elena Reserve and 100% Adventura suspension bridges. Our cabin was clean and cozy, but the bed... more
