Having spent 5 days at at a speciality lodging in Bocas del Toro on the Caribbean side, then arriving to Bosques del Cabo, another speciality rainforest lodging in Montapalo, Costa Rica, on the Pacific Side, it doesn't get much better than this! Imagine the most magical ocean side resort…..and what attributes it would have…….jungle meeting the shimmering ocean a dozen shades of blue, exotic animals, squawking Red Macaws, howling monkeys, excellent service, comfy accommodations and passionate on site owners….. that describes Bosque del Cabo. We actually stayed at this hotel 3-1/2 years ago. The setting and the grounds were gorgeous, the wildlife amazing. The huge thatched roof dining pavilion and food stunning!!! We stayed in a bungalow overlooking the Pacific. All you had to do was sit up in bed in the morning to see the sea. The meals are abundant and delicious, served under this humongous thatched-roof building that's straight out of Fantasy Island--in a good way. All the fantastic reviews about this place are completely accurate so I won't repeat myself but for those people with young children who are unsure about going to the osa peninsula with little ones - take it from us (our kids are 5 and 3) this place is wonderful. Bosque del Cabo is such a beautiful place and such an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly, helpful & always there to make sure our stay was especially nice.
