Puntarenas was an unintended stop simply because we were exhausted from driving, and we found this gem much to our suprise. Too pricy for what the place is - not that great, not that clean, no cable, water not too hot (trust me a lot of not expensive places in costa rica have both cable and hot water!). But if you are passing through Puntarenas and HAVE to spend the night there, it might be your best bet... more
