I am not sure why you would need to go to Jicaral, but you will probably need to stay in the Cabinas La Central. (The beaches are on the far side of the Nicoya Peninsula, and the roads are pretty rough, so stay closer to your beach, if beach is what you have in mind.)

If you do need to stay in Jicaral, you will find this hotel passable as a place to secure lodging, basic services, and good food. The small concrete rooms generally have two - three twin beds, a small bath with shower (cold only - but you won't want hot), an air conditioner (may or may not work), and a TV. Services are simple, but you will find a kind, willing staff to provide clean (if worn) linens and room cleaning each day. The payphone is out front on the street. There is no communication or business service. We did find a small internet shop with VOIP a few blocks away.
