I felt compelled to review villa kristina because before I went, I found no reviews, just took a bit of a gamble. The villa is definity not for everyone, but for us it was fantastic. First of all, its more like staying at someone's house, not a hotel. It is off the beaten path, you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get there! (About 8 minutes off the main road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio.) So it is quiet, and you will wake up to the sounds of the birds, insects, and the monkeys. You can walk to a secluded beach, its about twenty min. hike, hilly, good cardio workout. Our apartment had its own kitchen and bath and private porch overlooking the garden and jungle. This is a very biologically rich area, and you can sit on the porch and take it in, sipping coffee in your easy chair.
