We were very happy having found this place. Mike and Paul were great hosts and have created their own little peace of heaven so close to Manuel Antonio. The rooms are not only absolutely clean and well maintained, they were decorated with so much love for details like we haven't found in any other place we stayed in Costa Rica.... More

Mike and Paul are gracious and helpful hosts at this wonderful little Bed & Breakfast. The whole vibe is like you're visiting your most fun uncles, and they've got terrific suggestions for nearby attractions. Be prepared for monkeys overhead in the backyard. Big recommendation, per the owners' own: walk right next door, take a free shuttle to the top of... More

I spent two weeks at Coyaba Tropical while attending a Spanish language institute. Mike and Paul offered a warm and relaxing atmosphere in a cozy B&B atmosphere. The room was excellent and Paul's breakfasts wonderful especially the fruit. We were visited by the local wildlife, especially the monkeys who welcomed us on several days earlier in the day. My schedule... More

The pictures on the website don't do it justice: Coyaba Tropical is a little slice of paradise in the already heavenly Manuel Antonio. It is conveniently located between the town of Quepos and Manuel Antonio beach and National Park. The accommodations are lovely--Mike and Paul have done a wonderful job in restoring this historic property. The pool area is its... More

Mike and Paul go out of there way to make your experience VERY comfortable. Every morning by the pool, Mike will serve you Paul's delicious homemade breakfast dishes, as well as fresh local fruit, juice, coffee, tea, yogurt, and toast. Located in the middle of all the restaurants and hotels in the Quepos hills, you have many options at your... More

Outstanding! The best vacation B&B we've booked to date. It's going to be a very hard place to beat in our future travels outside of Costa Rica. Coles Notes summary: * Safe * Above and beyond customer service from Mike and Paul * Very Clean * Gourmet breakfasts * Private pool * Jungle setting in backyard (monkeys and iguanas included!)... Mike and Paul were wonderful hosts! They are very laid back, accomidating, and had good advice to make traveling easier. Breakfast was better than we could've ever expected, filled with large portions of traditional dishes & homemade bread. The location is safe & secluded. Mike & Paul have created an wonderful Costa Rican oasis right in their back yard with... More

Just returned from a visit to Manuel Antonio. Mike and Paul were excellent hosts. The facility is a tropical paradise. Paul cooks a delicious, hearty breakfast. It was relaxing to linger at the pool after a day at the beach. There is a bar at a luxury hotel adjacent to Coyaba which has happy hour with breathtaking views of the... More

Mike and Paul have built an outstanding B&B for all travellers to Quepos/Manuel Antonio. Excellent rooms, fabulous breakfasts (varied and custom-made for dietary needs). Amazing hosting, advice and assistance for planning tours, and eating in the many restaurants in the area. Pool, patio and outdoor living area promote relaxation and great appreciation of just "being" in Costa Rica--the passing wildlife:... More
