The Hotel Vesuvio has an attractive exterior, friendly staff and an excellent location to downtown San Jose. It also has an very good restaurant that serves breakfast (perhaps lunch) and dinner. We stayed at the Hotel Vesuvio in January of 2000 for 14 days. The hotel is usually listed as 3 star. I don't know how they determine stars. Hotel Vesuvio is not fancy. What it is, or at least was, is clean, convenient, and cheap, we paid $26 or $27 plus taxes per night, and that included a simple breakfast.... more
