Our group stayed here because of its location to the University of Costa Rica; however, the rooms were not clean and the bathrooms did not function properly. My toilet in two different rooms did not work, and water was sometimes brown. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, but the quality of the establishment is not high.
The rooms were what you would expect for the price: lumpy mattresses, somewhat clean. Nice little pool and patio for breakfast. Suites were spacious and well equipped. What make the place great are the price, location, and extremely helpful staff, all of which make D'Galah a great home base in Costa Rica. To get away from the smog and traffic...
