We thought this was a very nice section of town, and appreciated the informative suggestions of the manager as to restaurants, places to visit in Costa Rica and tourist sights in San Jose. I stayed one night at the magnolia room. It's a great place to stay if you intend to visit the Museo Nacional, as it's right across the street.
