We stayed at this pension (small hotel or B&B) for 3 days in May, 2006. It was the low season and the place was not well publicized (we saw it as we drove by and decided to check it out). There are four bungalows but we were the only guests at the time.
It was both an excellent value and setting compared to other places we had stayed nearer Papeete. There was another pension just south of Pension Chayan that looked very good too, but it was being remodeled at the time. If you’ve rented a car, I think you should check out the pensions and fares (rooms for rent) down south in this area, the west coast of Tahiti Iti. However, Pension Chayan may actually be the best in the area anyway.
