having seen the area around the airport twice on my way in and out to easter island and the on the Aranui to the marquesas, I booked this to see something else of the island. Its an awful lot further than you think it is and although buses do run out here it is quite hard to work out which... more

After reading some of the reviews here, I was unsure about booking Hiti Moana Villa, but was glad we did. Steve picked up at the airport, although it seemed fairly expensive, as the price is per person and there were four of us. Steve could not have been nicer or more helpful, giving us help to go to the supermarket... more

We loved our 3 nights at the Hiti Moana Villa. The grounds are immaculate and the bungalows way above expectation. The lagoon is so accessible from the little pontoon and suited to my wife who is very scared in the sea as there were nice shallow parts for her to wade in .It also suited my grown up kids who... more

Negative points: - We booked an airport transfer but were forgotten at the airport and had to phone the owners and wait for at least 45 minutes. - Many mosquitos but they provide mosquito spirals which are very effective. - The owners were a bit strange and not that helpful. So they didn't tell us that the bus stop is... more

I'll start with the airport transfer! I arrived at just after midnight and had booked a transfer. He wasn't there!! I called (and woke them up) and he arrived at 2.25am and i didn't even get an apology. I was on my own as my friend wasn't arriving until the next day and a man at the airport told me... more

We booked two nights at this property prior to a one week cruise. We rented a car at the airport as we wanted to have the freedom to move around the island. Since we were arriving quite late, we were promised a light would be on and the key left on the door. However, as with the Aussies who reviewed... more

We booked and stayed 3 nights after reading some good reviews on this guest house. We know how far this place is but was looking forward to some nice snorkling. Yes, there are fishes around the coral just off the deck of the guest house. BUT ... we snorkle pass two large (? sewage) pipe that led from the guest... more

Gosh, there are different views on this place. Maybe depends on what one expects/wants. I was staying there alone and booked it as I wanted to lounge by the lagoon for a few days. I was thankful not to be in Papeete. This place is not expensive, specially when compared to others on the islands. There are bungalow type cabins... more

This hotel was just what a family or couple would want. I stayed there for 3 days and it was just perfect with nice rooms and gardens with a kind lady to help us. With warm water in the lagoon, try jumping off the jetty also they have kayaks you can borrow which you can explore the endless reef with. more

I almost missed the wonderful experience of staying a Hiti Moana Villas because of negative reviews and the fact that we were looking for something on the beach. We were trying to book during a very busy time in Tahiti (World Surfing Championships) and were finding limited availability on the island. Then we found that Hiti Moana was available, so... more
