As we could not secure enough nights in Etu Moana during our stay in Aitutaki, we were advised to try this fairly new accomodation.
Located on the same premises as Aretai Villas, Are-A-Matatui are two high-end 2-bedrooms villas, perfect for a family or two couples. The accomodation has contracted with the Pacific Resort, and cleaning, etc. is made by the resort staff.

A very helpful lady, although acting as a "concierge" for both Are-A-Matatui and Aretai, is staying next door.

The setting, right on the beach, is gorgeous. The villas are fully furnished and self-contained, a very good thing as the closest grocery is roughly 15 mins away by bicycle.
Furthermore, staying at Are-A-Matatui gives access to the facilities of the Pacific Resort (inc. free bicycles).

Overall a very nice place, expensive indeed but in range of the quality of the villas.
