I've stayed in Tamanu in the first week of September 2008 and just loved the experience! First of all Aitutaki is a wonderfull lagoon island with an incredible beautiful blue water. When we arrive by plane the pilot smoothly swings the plane left and right to let everyone in the plane to have an aerial view of the laggon and... more

We stayed at Tamanu Beach (formerly Are Tamanu?) for 5 nights in February 2007. We had a bungalow in the “new” section (i.e. the section with the bungalows not the studios). The bungalow had no cooking facilities, but was otherwise exactly what we were looking for, with plenty of space, big comfortable beds and a good outside seating area. It... more

We did stay in the Cook Islands since 1984 several times – in Rarotonga and other remote outer islands - but never in Aitutaki. So we did arrive there without a plan - but time enough! After "shopping around" at ALL the places, choosing Tamanu Beach was the one and only right decision. 1. the apartments are spacious, clean, the... more

We stayed for 7 nights at Tamanu Beach, choosing this place becuase it offered a resort-style stay with a restaurant on site, as this was our first time on Aitutaki and we were unsure of the facilities available on the island. As it turned out, we spent hardly any time at Tamanu Beach, discovering instead that with a scooter to... more

We really enjoyed our Tamanu experience from the moment we were picked up at the airport. The staff were friendly, efficient and made us feel very welcome. We were there with our 15 year old daughter and she enjoyed her stay lazying by the pool, snorkelling and going for scooter rides with her father. We stayed in the lagoon villas... more

We stayed in Tamanu beach for 3 nights in total. After the first night in the studio beachfront bungalow (112) we married on one foot island. We spend the night there as well. The two following nights we spend in Tamanu Beach again. It couldn't be better. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. On our weddingday we would be... more

This was our second trip to the Cooks, however our first trip to Aitutaki and it certainly won't be our last... We had a lagoonview room in the newer section and it was just devine. Stuart, Jenny, Michael and his wife were fantastic hosts. Nothing was ever a problem. The rooms were clean, tidy, modern and spacious. The resident ginger... more

We stayed here in November 2006 (apologies for writing this only now) and it was fantastic. originally we had wanted to stay at the Pacific Resort which is the only 5* resort in the island that is on its own island and has over water bungalows, but having spoken to a couple onthere honeymoon there they said that everything was... more

My wife and I stayed 1 night only as an extension from other accommodation so it may not be long enough for a true assessment. However, we stayed in the older section which is some 50 metres along the road or beach to the restaurant, reception area of the new section but you do have breakfast beside the pool just... more

Tamanu Beach Resort; 29th August-6th Sept. 2007. We stayed in the newer part of the resort, which had only 11 bungalows set out spaciously down past the pool to the beach. The bungalows were well appointed, especially compared with other Pacific Island resorts we have stayed at. There were a few minor things that needed attention, such as a ceiling fan... more
