We were looking for the perfect place to get married on a white sand beach and Tamanu fit the bill. We researched other places in the Cook Islands and really liked what Tamanu had to offer. It was super easy to book our package--we got the Islander Wedding. We wanted a no stress wedding and that's how it was. Jenny,... more

Well first off I would say that the location of the hotel is very convenient ( not that its much of a distance to anywhere on the island). We were greeted at the hotel with our flower necklace each and taken off to accom at Tamanu. First impressions were good but I dont think that it is very good value... more

BOOKING We stayed in Tamanu Beach Resort for six nights in early October 2008. We had chosen to stay there after it turned out that our first choice, the Etu Moana Resort, which is only a little further up the road, had been fully booked when we tried to make a reservation some three months earlier. After our own attempts... more

Stayed in a beach front room ri8ght above the steps leading to the beach, and the location was spectacular. Lovely friendly staff and great service - nothing to complain about what so ever. I would recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear though. Loved Aitutaki! more

The location is beautiful, but the room (on the old side) was unimpressive (one to two stars at best), the service was also unimpressive - it took them 2 days to come out to figure out why the air conditioner was not working!! The only thing I would recommend you come here for is Island Night. There are fire dancers... more

I totally agree with the 'don't beleive the pictures' review. Even the so called newer units were poorly maintained and in need of renovation. We stayed in one of the 3 one bed beachfront units and therefore paid the top room rate for the resort, however, the room certainly did not give value for money. The facilities in the room... more

We stayed 5 nights at Tamunu Beach and were very happy with our choice. We were in a lagoon view studio (110) and had a lovely view over the pool and lagoon/ocean from our deck and also caught the last of the evening sun. Food at the restaurant was as good anywhere on the island. Lamb cutlets outstanding. We hired... more

We stayed at Tamanu Beach Hotel for 4 nights and wished we could stay longer! There are two parts to this hotel….we stayed in a pool view bungalow in the old part and would recommend staying in the old part over the new. The new villa’s do not have kitchen facilities which we found invaluable given the lack of facilities... more

This hotel was pretty good. Most of the staff are friendly and the location is very good. You will need a scooter to get around the island (or a car). Restaurant at the Island is okay but we didn't eat there that much. Tauono's up the road is very good as is Cafe Tupuna. We went to the Pacific resort... more
