I would not recommend anyone staying the Cooper Landing area stay at Red Salmon Lodge. First, we arrived and were told the cook would be 'unavailable', so we would be on our own for meals. The cabin appeared nice, with all the amenities, but when we attempted to go to sleep at 10pm, we discovered numerous rodent nests in both beds. We called the owner's cell phone, but were unable to reach anyone until 11:30pm. After explaining the situation, we were told it was too late, and we should just brush it off and sleep in the beds anyway. When I said this was unacceptable, the owner proceeded to be very disrespectful and told me at 11:30 to just leave. We found droppings and foraged food in our bags and shoes after we left. We spend the next few nights at the Hutch and at River Haven, both of which were extremely nice facilities. more
