I dont no what to say about this hostel, it was cheap and clean and very basic.really near the beach and the bus stop. the toilets and showers werent gr8 and the cockeral woke u up at 5 every morning. i think this could be a gr8 hostel if it was ran better. the dvd nites were good tho. the kettel took 15mis to boil. if your a backpacker on a budget i (which i was) i supose it was fine but i wouldnt stay here again i dont think. we left and were to a hotel with a dorm room that was down the road. the owner gave is a discount because we had a really noise room which was nice i supose.
ok but not gr8.

The hostel is very basic, but comfortable. It is also very cheap. The dorms only have 3 beds in them, there is a TV lounge with a dvd player and the kitchen is large, but there are only 6 gas hobs, and it can get busy - especially if there is a meal organised. The owners organise "international nights" where everyone cooks a dish and its all shared - which is a great way to meet the others at the hostel. The beach is at the end of the road next to a grocery,cycle/kayak/snorkel hire, video rental, fast food shop. The groceries are not cheap here so it is worth doing a shop at the supermarket in Avarua. The best snorkelling on the island is 5mins walk away near the Dive Centre at Aro'a beach.

The bad points are the roosters and dogs which are a natural alarm clock. The showers are solar heated so there is only lukewarm water in the morning, but it is perfect when you get back from the beach in the afternoon.

Overall it is a fantastic budget place to stay...
