Having just returned from another trip to Elfin Cove for some great fishing thought I'd share it with all of you. Elfin cove is located 80 miles west of Juneau only by boat or float plane. There is a wonderful history of pirates etc. in days gone by which makes it all the more intriquing. This village exsists primarily on fishing excursions. There are very few lodges in the village. Our lodge 'The Inner Harbor Lodge" only hosts eight people at a time. This,of course, makes for a wonderful host/client relationship. Actually from day one you become family. The rooms,which are not spartan, each have their own bath and are treated each day as any hotel room would be. You may want to bring your own special toiletries since stores in the village are not very stocked. However any store will open for you at any time. Very informal.
The meals; which are served family style in an airy scenic dining room over looking the bay, are delicious and plentiful and varied.
