This place is a true home away from home. All amenities and a one of a kind insight into Alaskan life through the lovely hosts Judy & Pat. They let you enjoy the solitude and the privacy of the appartment but are always there to help you out or once in a while spoil you with homemade bread, jam or... More

My Husband and I stayed for 5 days in August and look forward to staying there again. Pat and Judy are great hosts and the apartment is very comfortable with a great location. We definitely enjoyed our days there!

We stayed for two separate nights on our travels to and from Homer. This was a great alternative to staying in Anchorage. GGH is a one guest B&B. It is a five room apartment. There is a living room, full size kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry area. The bedroom has a comfortable king bed, futon, and has no windows. Once you... More

We stayed here only one night, but loved it. Pat is the owner, and he was very friendly and full of good advice. The guest house was very clean and provided you with an ample breakfast, including homemade bread. The Tram and Rainforest were only a mile or so away, both also worth the visit and hike. Great town, with... More

This is a well-located and comfortable guest house. It has a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The kitchen was well stocked and the host family was welcoming. Because the bedroom had no windows and a great bed, we caught up on our sleep. We highly recommend this lodging.

We decided to stay here after reading Tripadvisor reviews, but something must have happened since. The two rooms plus a bath are in the basement of the owner’s home. I have a sensitive sense of smell so I tried to get past the initial odor. A note to use an old washcloth to remove make-up was ignored as the basket... More

We stayed two different nights on our two week stay in Alaska in July 2011. The bedroom was wonderfully dark and cozy at night. In fact it was the only dark night we had while in Alaska and a real plus. The kitchen was well stocked and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the recliner for my husband and I loved the... More

We stayed at the Girdwood Guest House for 2 nights when we arrived in Alaska and 2 more nights after being in Hope. Judy and Pat are great hosts and were very helpful in recommending things to do such as hiking and restaurants in the area. The accommodations were great; the bedroom does not have windows in it which is... More
