We've stayed at Bud and Carol's B&B a number of times because of their incredible hospitality, cozy and comfortable accommodations, mostly while traveling for pleasure to the Girdwood area. Having to attend an event in Girdwood that would end late on a snowy January evening, I was pleased to learn I could get an almost last minute reservation. Coming here... More

We enjoyed our stay here. Very down to earth, easy to find, near the ski lift. Carol made everything very easy, left us a key. The room was clean, the jacuzzi great. Breakfast was fine, mostly cereal, yogurt, juice, etc. Great stop on way to Kenai Peninsula or Whittier area. More

we have stayed at Bud and Carol's several times and always thoroughly enjoyed their warm hospitality and their concern for the comfort of their guests. The rooms are comfortable, very spacious and nicely decorated, and we particularly like the common room, which is spacious and has a nice table to gather with family or friends and share a meal, as... We were greeted by a note on the door & directed to our room just off the kitchen/dining which was shared by another couple. Very clean & quiet despite being on a corner of two streets. Our room had 2 large picture windows that both had mt. views. Carol was a very personable & informative host. As my husband was... More

Carol was always prompt in responding to my emails. The B&B was modern and immaculate. In light of the nice accommodations and proximity to the tram, etc., the price was a deal! More

We didn't have reservations and called at the recommendation of another B&B that was full. We found the room quiet and comfortable. Carol met us in the AM and helped plan our day with great tips(Bud is head of the local C of C). Would recommend. More

We stayed here 3 nights and used it as a base. It was a nice scenic drive, not too long to get to from Anchorage and cheaper than many places in the city, so it was worth the drive. We did day trips to Seward and Whittier from there and then the last day drove to Denali. The place is... More

We spent two nights at Bud and Carol’s B & B. We used this B & B as our home base for the Phillip’s 26 Glacier Cruise out of Whittier. We had the larger of their two rooms, the Alberg Room which had a queen bed and a single twin for our grandson. The place was spotless. Apparently they designed... More

We have addressed the guests' concerns regarding the window coverings. We changed out the venetian blinds in the vanity area. In addition the incoming sunshine has been diverted and blocked out by custom made window frames. Our guests rave about how well they can sleep in a blackout room. More

We spent July 9, 2008 at Bud and Carol's B & B. We had been to Whittier on a day cruise on Prince William Sound and drove to Bud and Carol's afterwards. It is an easy and pleasant drive to Girdwood from Whittier. Their nightly rates are very reasonable, much less than the motels in Anchorage. The bedroom had a... More
