Wonderful hotel, at the bottom of the mountain and is truely a hidden gem. Beautiful hotel, rooms, activities, and much more. Beats Aspen... Loved it more
We stayed one night at the end of our Alaska vacation in Sept 2007. I went to the hotel website and got a special rate. Based on the fabric display at the check-in desk, we got a renovated room on one of the top floors. It had a view of the mountains on the entrance side. The bed had a... more
We booked for three nights the beginning of September, 2007. We checked in early and was greeted by helpful staff. The room was smaller than expected but the veiw and the bed made up for that quickly. The water pressure in the shower was very poor, however this a minor inconvience. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel (I... more
As part of our tour through Alaska-awesome place, we stayed two nights at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood. If you are going to Alaska, do not miss this hotel! The beds are awesome, the rooms incredible. We also ate at the 7 Glaciers REstaurant at the top of the tram, the food was excellent... more

Ok..so i called the hotel and i booked our final two nights in Alaska in Girdwood. I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID!! The property was beautiful, the staff were... more
This hotel was first class all the way. Early Check In was no problem. Everyone went out of their way to help and offer advice. Rooms and Beds were very comfortable. Down comforters were awsome. View was beautiful as well. Rooms had small refrigerators which came in very handy as we were there for 3 days. Winner's Creek hike out... more
I stayed here before an inside passage cruise on Regent Seven Seas Mariner. I was in one of the newly refurbished rooms and it was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The bedding was almost identical to Westin Heavenly bed which I like a lot. We had two very comfortable lounge chairs in the room which overlooked the mountain. The bathroom... more
We stayed four nights for a conference at this resort, which is a study in contradictions. It has a beautiful location, the grounds, the gardens, ponds, and surrounding trails are truly lovely. Unfortunately the staff do not reflect this atmosphere, most could have been wearing t shirts that read "I'd rather be fishing, skiing, anywhere but here. . ." BUT... more
I'm glad we only booked one night at The Alyeska. It seems this beautifully located hotel has recently changed hands and the staff is undirected and unmotivated to put on a good face for the guests. We paid a good amount ($247) for our room, booked through our Alaska travel agent well in advance. But, upon arrival they told us... more
