Wonderful location. Friendly staff. But filthy. Not dirty. Filthy. No cleaning staff. Hostelers are supposed to clean the place. Computer for guests is a plus. Inadequate toilet/bathing facilities for the number of rooms/beds. More than run down. It's never been run up. And COLD at night. No heat turned on in the house. more
Homer Hostel is in a nice area of town, with great views of the bay. It is fithy though, scary to walk bare foot anywhere. There was a "housekeeper" who was around to clean and make beds He lives in a tent outside the back door.
If you ignore the dirty floors and spend all your time away it is a possible place to stay for a night.
