Decidedly scarce and above all we found that the owners were exceedingly rude and mainly committed to self-entertainment rather than being attentive to their guests’ comfort. We booked a Halibut fishing trip in Homer, AK (which was great) and our Captain suggested some Bed & Breakfast's in Homer. We stayed at the Chocolate Drop two nights in June 2008 and loved it! Laurie, the hostess, was fantastic! She made sure we felt at home and were on schedule with our fishing trip and kayak trips, which she booked for us! Loved this place - we will be back. Highly recommend. more

We needed a place to stay for one night in Homer before we continued on to Seward. We found the Chocolate Drop to be our answer!! We were treated like family from the moment we made our reservation. I stayed at the Chocolate Drop Inn Sept 6 - 10, 2004. The inn is a beautiful 6 bedroom log cabin lodge set in a wildflower field with a panoramic view of Kachmak Bay, the mountains and glaciers. A lovely log Inn surrounded by wildflowers and a breathtaking view of the mountains across Kachemak Bay. Our room was scrupulously clean and the full breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choices. Brittany, the hostess, is both gracious and accomodating. Stayed here three different times. Each time our stay was really enjoyable. We have a daughter in Homer, so we are frequent visitors. If able, we will choose Chocolate Drop every time. Breakfast are outstanding. A hot tub is available. Brittany is most pleasant and accomodating. Rooms with private baths, cleaned daily. more
