We just returned from a wonderful stay in Homer. The B and B, Room with a View, is just that. The house looks directly over the Spit, it's incredible. The owners were florists in the lower 48 and thier garden shows it. I'm not sure how they keep the moose out. The rooms each had a private bath and the showers were full-sized. We ran into many that you'd barely fit in, so this was nice. Now, as many homes in Alaska go, there were many animals on the walls. If that bothers you, you might want to choose another location. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. Both rooms are on the bottom floor and if you rented both rooms, you got the entire floor to yourself. I would highly recommend this B and B.
