Alaska is an expensive state for hotel rooms. Heading down the hallway from the registration desk I encountered an unpleasant stench. My stay deteriorated from there. We have stayed at the Breakwater Inn on several occasions. Motel is well-located and rooms are nice. The restaurant (casual) is rated as the best food in Juneau. Try it once and you will be back for meal after meal. Best Halibut I have ever eaten was here, and prices are inexpensive. Enjoy! more
