My long-term partner and I travelled from Prince Rupert to Juneau by the Alaska Highway Ferry Service on a 9 week holiday. This room was just a typical room, spacious, convenient location and reasonable value for money. We weren't disappointed. The breakfast served by the establishment downstairs had a very comprehensive and positively interesting breakfast menu we've ever come across... more

The Driftwood Lodge is located in a perfect spot if you want to see "downtown" Juneau and the waterfront. Within walking distance of everything, the Driftwood is inexpensive, convenient and the two bedroom with kitchenette has everything you might need. A deli is on the hotel grounds, a terrific breakfast restaurant also on the grounds (a must-do, in my opinion)... more

Rather than stay at a $300.00 a night hotel for just an overnight, the $94.00 Driftwood made more economic sense. For anyone cruising, you are in walking distance to the Goldbelt Hotel to drop off luggage if cruising with Cruise West. The room was clean, but drab. Bed was comfortable and location was very good. Deli right there also. more

Stopped over night in Juneau while traveling on the ferry to Anchorage. This hotel was recommended to us as they took pets. Check in was a bit slow as they were very busy. The room was old and a little run down but very clean. The bed was creaky and a little lummpy but it felt so good to sleep... more

Do Not Book Reservations at the Driftwood Lodge. I had stayed there before and never had a problem. But this summer, after having my guaranateed/confirmed reservations for months -- when I arrived, they immediatly told me they had NO rooms available and that they had given my room to someone else. (I had confimed reservations, guaranteed with my credit card!)... more

The staff is nice, the location is good, but the hotel is rundown. The walls are thin, you can hear the toilet flush in the adjacent rooms. The best part about the place is the nice folks that work there. more

Driftwood offers all basic amenities needed for the traveler. Here is what I liked about it: -clean rooms and bathroom -Friendly service. -Free shuttle to/from ferry and/or airport Here is what I did not like: -It took their shuttle about 30 minutes to pick me up from the ferry -for drop-offs, shuttle runs every hour so I had to wake... more

This place is a little run down. We reserved two NONSMOKING rooms and only got one room that was nonsmoking. The desk clerk didn't seem to care and said that we must have made a mistake in our reservations. I'm always adamant about reserving nonsmoking rooms because smoke smell irritates me and no one in our party smokes. The least... more

I don't know why I expected something a bit nicer and more intimate - the Driftwood Lodge is an ugly place with a large number of well worn rooms. They obviously have a high turnover of guests, unsurprisingly as it's not somewhere you would linger. I found the manner of the motel staff a bit disconcerting - finally decided they... more
