I wish I would have checked Trip Advisor before letting my folks-in-law pick this place. The lesson all travelers should learn is that never book a "resort" based on a artists rendering rather than actual photos. The Kenai Landings appeared in the brochure to be a neat shopping area along the river, but only two shops were open. Looking back... more

We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay at Kenai Landing. But we do appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback on how we can improve our product and the resulting customer experience. Kenai Landing is a historic attraction and we strive to offer our customers a genuine and rustic Alaskan excursion. As...

Ridiculous experience in July 08. I felt like Clark W Griswold checking into the Kamp Komfort where ducks were swimming in the algae filled pool. A great golf trip with my Dad, Father in Law and brother with a speed bump at the Kenai Landing. We were ready to kick up our feet after some fishing and golfing and knock... more

Worst place I have ever stayed. Staff is rude and ignorant, management is rude and condecending. They give you keys after digging through a random stack, good luck, we had to take ours back two times to get the right ones. The restaraunt WILL charge more than the price on the menu and then act nasty to the customer regarding... more

My wife & I booked at Kenai Landing as part of medical education trip. We selected "Captain's Quarters" room, one of the more expensive rooms available. Where do I start: clueless desk clerk, keys didn't fit lock, room was filthy, mold on shower curtain, no hot water, decoration a la mediocre summer camp for underprivileged children, inedible clam chowder in... more

Read all the reviews before I booked and I was a little worried, but the room was very clean, the staff was excellent even though I messed up my dates. I liked the price and the site was historic and interesting. The place is going to be something great when they finish the shops. Wish I had booked more days... more

Warning---it's not a hotel. Seriously. It's a cannery. The only change they made was putting a bed in one of the former slime line rooms. I was simply stunned. Shacks. Rusted out walls, rusted tin roofs. Remember the final battle scene in Saving Private Ryan? Or scenes of Auschvitz? This is what this place looks like. I couldn't even find... more

We stayed one night at Kenai Landing on a two week driving trip in Alaska. We arrived at Kenai Landing about 6 PM on a Friday night in the rain. After checking in, we attempted to get dinner at the hotel as the website advertised a restaurant and shops, etc. The people at the restaurant told us they were setting... more

I enjoyed my stay at Kenai Landing and found it to be a very good value. This place really is a fascinating slice of Alaskan history. I enjoyed exploring the various buildings that make up the complex and the setting between the Cook Inlet and the river offers some beautiful views. Its off the beaten path a bit but the... more

Whoever rated this place above 1 is just crazy or drunk. First of all, I feel really bad and sorry to stay at this "resort". The entire place looks like a construction site. Can you imagine yourself to pay over $150 to stay at a construction site? Even the receptionist from Kenai Landing to tell us to go to Homer... more

So fantastically bad and misleading that it was comical! The first red flag should have been the artist's rendition of "Kenai Landing" on the website. But we missed that one. The next flag was that they took our money via our credit card when we booked the hotel 2 1/2 months earlier - not when we arrived as is customary... more
