While looking for a place to stay in the Palmer / Wasilla area for the Alaska State Fair, I found Alaska Birch Cottages. This was our favorite lodging in AK. The 6 cottages are 1-story or have a 2nd floor loft bedroom/bath. The full kitchen was stocked with a nice assortment of breakfast items. A gas fireplace and great bathroom added to our enjoyment. The cottage also has a washer and dryer ($1 per load). The owners were helpful and friendly. more
