This was our first trip to Alaska and we wanted to experience as much as possible, so, we booked short stays and moved every few days. Our experience at Longmere Lodge was very comfortable. Lorean, Chuck and family were very attentive to their guests, but not overly so. Breakfast was cooked every morning and the family was there to visit with the guests. The entire lodge was for the guests comfort. The flexibility was there to use the kitchen if we wanted, view the lake from an excellent vantage point, and just hang out. The family lives in seperate quarters, so we truly relaxed at our leisure. The lodge is outside of Soldotna, far enough away to be secluded but still close enough to participate in local activities.
