My husband and I stayed for one night in lovely Avila at this hostal. Decent sized room with small attached bathroom for 30 euros. Shabby, noisy, but very clean. Good location in the old town. Friendly staff. We got a 10 percent discount on dinner at their restaurant a couple of blocks away, Restaurante Alcazaba I believe it was called. more

For the price range (“hostal” in Spain is like pension in other parts of Europe…very basic accommodations but usually private room and bathroom), this was a great option. I believe we paid 40 euros a night for a nice, very clean room. The owners were very friendly and always at reception, ensuring who came and went from rooms. This location... more
