I was traveling solo to see the archeological sites in the area. I could not have picked a better hotel. Ece, who is the owner, was warm, personable and before check-in was completed made you feel like you were an old friend returning for a visit. A picture of her mother, who was a concert pianist, resulted in a conversation about our mutual love of music. She goes out of her way to insure that all your needs are met. Before my trip to Troy, she noticed my ankles were sligthtly swollen and ran in to get bags of ice for the drive up!

Ece was also a wealth of information about the surrounding archeological sites encouraging me to visit the Temple of Athena at sunset for spectacular photographic memories. Her attention to detail was evident in my room (which contained beautiful antiques and books), and her sumptuous and creative breakfasts (in a beautiful garden courtyard and served on different china each morning!)

The hotel location is ideal- a short walk to the village and the Acropolis of Athena. There is a wonderful pool where I enjoyed wine after my days of sightseeing.

I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay here again-no need to look anywhere else!

Our two-night stay at Assos Alarga was absolutely wonderful! The setting is peaceful and quiet, and the rooms are beautiful, spacious, impeccably clean, and well outfitted with a variety of amenities. Breakfast is great with a variety of local food, and we really enjoyed dinner one evening with fresh local seafood and veggies. But the best part of our stay was meeting Ece, who truly goes above and beyond as a warm and welcoming host, full of great recommendations for restaurants and sights to see in the surrounding area. She really makes staying here feel like staying at a friend's home, and we look forward to returning soon!

My stay in Assos/Behramkale was the beginning of an exploration of Greco-Roman ruins along theTurkish Agean coast and staying at Assos Alarga B&B was a perfect way to start. It is in Behramkale, so very close, walking distance to the ruins and the temple of Athena, the highlight. After time on the hilltop the walk down to Assos and some time exploring the small port and dinner was the end to a great day. Ece, my host at Assos Alarga was so helpful and friendy i can't thank her enough, giving advice about how to approach the ruins (the local situation regarding access changes) and on eating in Behramkale and Assos. Both Ece and her assistant Busra were truly welcoming, always there, when asked and i loved my room. Assos Alarga consists of several old renovated buildings (done by Ece's dad) so there is plenty of privacy, options for eating and just relaxing; it's up to you really. The breakfasts were a treat and could have lasted all day i think, but those "old stones" on the hill tore me away. I can't thank you enough Ece for a wonderful stay and recommend the place to all.

We stayed at Assos Alarga for the third time for three days in June as part of a family trip down the Aegean coast of Turkey. Just like our other visits here, this one was amazing!

The rooms are spacious and incredibly clean and we had the benefit of a cute little garden to the front of our room, with table and chairs. The pool area is a delightful place to hang out during the day. Breakfast is served there and it is wonderful!! The Turkish breakfast is something to behold but here Ege (our host) and Busra (the chef) delivered up some the best breakfast dishes I've had (the peppers in olive oil with local herbs was a favourite). There is bottomless tea and Turkish coffee which makes all the difference. Nothing is too much to ask - the hosts will do everything they can to make your stay special.

Assos Alarga is perfectly situated in the picturesque village of Behramkale with its stalls selling crafts and plethora of ancient ruins to explore! You are only an hour's drive away from the excellent Troy Museum near Canakkale and just three hours from both Istanbul and Izmir.

It has the experience of being a home away from home - Ege is both a great host and so much fun! We will be back - it really is an amazing experience!

I really liked the stone house concept and general architecture. There are only 4 rooms to taste so I recommend to book early enough to get one of them. I stayed room Onda for 3 nights and room was lovely, big and comfortable. We enjoyed homemade breakfast a lot. Ece and her team always available for your requests and you can feel the sincere hospitality of them so I can't recommend it enough, you definitely need to experience .

A place filled with beauty and serenity, surrounded by nature with all the comfort needed. Ece and her wonderful team are full of care and useful help for their guests. Very conveniently placed to visit Assos and the surroundings. The breakfast is a must! And do ask about the history of this very special place.

Ece and Mahmet could not have been nicer. It was probably the warmest welcome we received in Turkey, and that is saying a lot, because everyone in Turkey was so friendly.
Assos Alarga is charming and in a great location. From their courtyard we could climb to the hilltop temple ruins! The B&B itself was charmingly decorated, very comfortable, and the food is terrific. We wanted to move in! We will definitely go back!

Assos Alarga is a very small, super charming and authentic boutique hotel. Ece, the dynamic and erudit host of this elegant home, gave as a warm welcome, and prepared a succulent private dinner for our family. Our room was a very large and tastefuly decorated suite with wooden floor, and a beautiful view. The location of the hotel is excellent as you can walk right out to the ruins of the Athena temple. The temple is well worth a visit: located on top of the hill with magnificent views on the Agean sea.

Me and my family spent three great days including the new year’s eve at Assos Alarga Hotel. The hotel is located in the center of Assos (local name: Behramkale), lovely historic village with beautiful architecture, five minutes walking distance to the antique Temple of Athena and very near to the antique city ruins.

The hotel itself is a well restorated historic village house which is well-suited in antique atmosphere. As a result of the location the hotel rooms also have extraordinary valley scenery. Don’t get fooled with the ‘smallest hotel’ title, even though the hotel has only five rooms, the rooms are very large and masterfully decorated with different concepts. Ours (Room Orsa) had luxury facilities including very comfortable king size bed, beautiful stone fireplace and a bathtub with valley scenery; very romantic! Because we made our visit on winter we didn’t have the chance to use the beautiful looking pool but that definitely won’t be the last visit to the hotel and I guess we will make a visit in summer time again in the future and enjoy the pool then.

Warm hospitality at the hotel was unique. The owner Ece and her husband Burcak were remarkably kind, friendly and welcoming towards the guests. The service, local foods (I recommend all to have dinner at the hotel too) and all facilities were unforgettably perfect.

We had wonderful time and I strongly recommend the hotel to all who wants to have an unforgettable time at this historic city.

Besides, its great location, ambience, extremely delicious breakfast, comfortable & clean rooms what I really love about this hotel was the meticilous hospitality of Ece & Burcak. They truly cared about every detail about us. They cared about our car and the way we park it, they cared about our luggage and helped us to carry them, they even cares about the romance, they turned off the lights of the rooms they live in , in order not to disturb us as we were sitting in the forecourt:) The owner of the hotel Ece always made us smile with her enthusiastic personality:) We thank them a lot. They also adviced us some great places to swim and eat and enjoy the sunset ( Okan's motel). That place was also one of the most peaceful places i have ever seen.If I ever visit Assos again I would prefer Alarga with no hesistate.
