We booked this hotel as a very late booking and have never been so lucky. This is one of the very few places that brochures cannot do justice to. One always assumes that the brochure pictures are "staged" and everywhere cleaned prior to the pictures, well, not here. When we arrived we were shown to our room which was immaculately... more

The staff couldn't do enough for us. We were made to feel special, important and at home. Standards were maintained and the hotel was in 1st class condition. The boss, Habip was a lovely guy. Always around and available to chat with. He would pass the time of day as he would his family and friends. He even gave my... more

Lovely location next to the river with a twenty minute walk into town.We arrived at 7.00pm and was at first disappointed with the amount of storage space in the room but after a lovely meal and a good nights sleep we were more than happy with our choice. Huge range of food at breakfast, beautiful and clean swimming pool with plenty... more

My friend and i stayed here during May half term week and it was so peaceful. Often we were the only ones by the beautiful pool. The pool is the cleanest I have ever swam in and it was fab to be able to swim laps with no children dive bombing in! The gardens are very natural and preaty with... more

We were looking for a cheap holiday, at a nice quiet resort, with hot weather. One of the hotels that was suggested was the Asur, it fulfilled all of our criteria so we booked. We stayed in the hotel, there are self catering apartments if required, as we arrived quite late we ate in the resturant, and the food was... more

We are a young couple and this was our 4th holiday abroad. We have previously been to places like Cyprus and Crete but this holiday was by far the best! We found the Asur to be fantastic! We stayed in the apartments and it was spotlessly clean, well equipped and the air conditioning was handy particularly at night. On the... more

We first stayed at the Asur in July 2006 for 2 weeks, the first time we have been away as just a couple without our daughter for many years. We were so pleased with the whole holiday that we returned for a week in July 2007 and are going again for a week in July 2008. The hotel is an... more

We have just arrived back from our first stay in Turkey and we will definately be returning!! The hotel far exceeded our expectations. So, where to begin? The food is fantastic, with a wide selection of food available at breakfast including made to order omlettes and delicious pancakes also. The rooms, while quite small are quaint and unique and are... more

The Asur Hotel/Assyrian Hotel is one of those lovely finds that you either want to keep to yourself! (Twelve Degrees North in Grenada is another) - or if you believe in Trip Advisor (I do), you feel honour bound to share.... The Asur is a magical place to be. It doesn't seem to matter if you are a young couple,,... more
