I stayed at Myra Motel in June 2004 and enjoyed my stay so much that I
returned in September. Myra Motel is situated down by the river just opposite the Lycian Rock Tombs. The rooms are simple, very clean, and all have bathrooms with showers. A delicious turkish breakfast is served in the lovely garden under the shade of the trees, overlooking the tombs. I had the pleasure of feeding Trionyx Turtles which show up every morning between 9 and 11am, what a treat. The owner of Myra who speaks fluent English and French, organizes wonderful boat and jeep excursions to Iztuzu Beach, other secluded beaches, the mud baths, the ruins at Kaunos etc, all these trips were very well organized. The food at Myra is excellent, I particularly enjoyed the home made turkish cuisine, as well as the barbecues with grilled fish and meat. A wonderfully relaxing place and great hospitality, I hope to return there this summer.
